Job Description

Essential Functions
● Subject matter expert and resource to internal and external stakeholders
● Participates in Product Design meetings and assists with data requirements and business requirements
● Reviews and audits client’s coding practices
● Assist with the development of reports and projects, including documenting methodology, designing reporting, and making recommendations based upon data analysis
● Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes impacting coding requirements
● Performs research for guidelines regarding coding practices
● All other duties as assigned.
● Provides analytical support to internal teams including the Marketing, Sales and Operational Teams
● Conduct research and perform root cause analysis as part of responsibility for analytics projects
● Perform data analysis, data cleansing, and data validation as part of product design and testing
● All other duties as assigned.
Willing to work on night shift
Qualifications
● BS/BA in health care administration, health informatics, mathematics, statistics, business or similar degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
● Preferred – Junior level (experience 1 – 4 years) working as a data analyst, preferably in a healthcare setting
● Knowledge and proficiency of Coding software and computer skills in Microsoft Office and products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems
● Deep experience relative to RPM and CCM coding
● Deep experience in reviewing and auditing a client’s coding practice
● Experience with building reports, analyzing results, and communicating findings
● Preferred – Commercial payer reimbursement rates for RPM for each state
● Preferred – 3+ years experience working with healthcare data
● Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and ability to research coding related questions
● Preferred – High level coding expertise in IPPS and OPPS
● Understanding of key managed care concepts and terms including risk adjustment, pmpm, CPT, ICD 9/10 coding, HCPCS, DRG, etc…
● Experience with Managed Care Data, PBM’s, and Provider Data a plus
● Preferred – Understanding of data structure/integration and relational database design.
● Preferred – Experience working with integration of multiple data sources from databases/data warehouses
● Excellent oral and written English communication skills
● Ability to collaborate with partners and drive analytic projects end to end
● Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
● Ability to interact with management personnel
● Possess strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail and data accuracy
