Job Description

Responsibilities:

The Accounts Payable Coordinator I compiles data for payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices for amounts owed by the company to vendors, employees and other organizations/individuals. This includes determining proper GL account coding and assigning appropriate vendor codes.

  • Reviews invoices and employee expense reports for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment processing within Oracle AP system.
  • Processes, verifies and audits invoices, expense reports, journal entries, purchase orders, etc.
  • Responsible for resolution of invoice and expense report issues and problems
  • Responds to outside vendor/supplier inquiries and internal employees.
  • Coordinate with counterpart to resolve issues
  • Maintains accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files
  • Identify opportunities and help implement process improvements or automation.
  • Maintain or exceed the company’s quality standards for all assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to handle high levels of stress and be congenial to other customers, clients, employees at all times
  • Performs other job assignments as specified by the team leader.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably with focus in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 6 months prior related work experience
  • Basic office equipment – will train, if necessary
  • Basic knowledge of Windows 95/98, WP and Spreadsheet packages
  • MUST BE AMENABLE TO WORK AT NIGHT!
